GCCF 2026 grant apps available Nov. 1

Applications for the 2026 grant cycle of the Greene County Community Foundation will be available on its website Nov. 1, 2025.

On April 6, 2025, the Greene County Community Foundation (GCCF) distributed grants to 21 projects totaling $251,409. This amount was a combined total of monies received from Grow Greene County ($175,000) and accessed funds from the GCCF endowment ($76,407). There were 30 grant applications with a record-breaking $402,292 in requests.

The Foundation will once again consider grant applications up to $35,000. Any project over that amount must be considered through Grow Greene County. Over the past 20 years, Greene County Community Foundation has awarded more than $2.6 million in grants to non-profit organizations and governmental entities.

To apply, visit our website listed below, download or complete an application online. Completed applications must be submitted digitally via email by Feb. 13, 2026, at 4 pm CST. Grants can also be mailed to the Greene County Community Foundation, PO Box 85, Jefferson, IA 50129, or dropped off at Journey Financial, LLC’s office at 121 E. Lincoln Way in Jefferson, during normal business hours. Hand-delivered applications must be at the Journey Financial office by Feb. 13 at 4 pm.

Again, encourage digital submission via email is highly encouraged, but the Foundation will accept hard copies. Persons who need more information can call the Journey Financial Office at 515-386-2570.
